I have long had my doubts about the notion of giving the unconverted what they want in order to get them to church. Ichabod Spencer (1798-1854), a pastor who labored in Massachusetts and New York, wrote about this issue. The quote from Spencer's A Pastor's Sketches (1850) is a strong rebuke to the notion of "seeker-sensitive" evangelism.
