An Election Day thought

Today is Election Day. Whatever the results may be, whoever ends up in power or out, at the end of the day God is still in control. As some of the old folk used to say, God "has all pah-vuh ("power") in His hands!" He rules and "super-rules"! (If you recognize these phrases, you grew up around Southern-born, "country" Black folk like I did!)
Let's remember what Nebuchadnezzar learned about God the hard way (Daniel 4:34-35):
"His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
and his kingdom endures from generation to generation;
all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as
nothing,
and he does according to his will among the host of
heaven
and among the inhabitants of the earth;
and none can stay his hand or say to him,
'What have you done?' "
So, as believers we know that everything will be all right, because we're not in the hands of the Democrats or the Republicans--
We're in the hands of God.

Amen, brother. Ezra 6:22,7:6--the heart of the king is in the hand of Yahweh! None of our elected officials ever act, even if intended against us and God, except as an agent of a providence that God has guaranteed to our good and His glory.

Well said. Our first response to the question, "Are you a Republican or a Democrat?" should be...

I'm a Christian.

May our allegiance be to the ONE that is WORTHY!
